It’s that time of year when we say yes we CAN help struggling local families, and raise some much-needed supplies for the North Texas Food Bank.
Those of you who have followed College Fund Landscaping for a while will know that community is at the heart of everything we do. Each year our College Scholarship initiative helps young people in Texas access education, thanks to the generous support of customers like you.
For the past two years, we have extended this support to the North Texas Food Bank, an incredible charity that provides access to 105 million nutritious meals for hungry children, families, and seniors in our community.
This year has been a particularly tough one for families in need, so we want to help out by smashing last year’s record, and hit our target of $4,000.
It’s a big ask, but with your support, we think we can do it.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
You can support the 2020 Canned Food Drive by donating the following items:
- Canned fruit in juice
- Peanut butter
- Cereal bars
- Canned Tuna
You can also view the North Texas Food Banks Amazon Wish List to donate items virtually.
Your donations have a HUGE impact on the lives of local families. Since launching, the North Texas Food Bank has:
- Provided 96.9 million meals to kids, seniors, and families in need
- Distributed more than 34 million pounds of fresh produce
- Provided three meals per every $1 donated
HOW DOES IT WORK?
College Fund Landscaping will match all cash donations dollar for dollar.
On top of this, we will donate an extra $1 for every canned item donated.
To get involved all you have to do is place your canned goods on your front porch ready for us to collect during your November services. If you’d like to make a cheque donation then please make it out to North Texas Food Bank, and secure it in an envelope on your front door. We will match and deliver your donation.
1 in 5 people in North Texas is food insecure, meaning they don’t know where their next meal is coming from.
But you can help right now.
Remember, every $1 provides three nutritious meals for hungry children, seniors, and families in our community.
Thank you all so much for your generous support.
Together, we CAN end food poverty in Texas.
