If you’ve ever called College Fund Landscaping, then you’ve probably been lucky enough to experience Mark Hays’ velvety voice. In his role as a customer service representative (CSR), Mark ensures our clients receive exceptional customer service at every stage of their journey and solve any problems they may encounter along the way.
Mark is the first person most CFL clients speak to, and Mark says this has given him a fantastic opportunity to develop his relationships with customers. Despite only joining the CFL family five months ago, he’s already made a big impression on customers and says he loves every second of the job.
He said: “Dealing with clients is really cool and I haven’t encountered a problem we haven’t been able to solve yet! My approach is that if we don’t have the answer straight away then we won’t quit until we do.”
After a long career as a contractor, Mark decided to “climb off of the ladder” last year to explore new challenges and pursue his passion for management. With his friendly tone, sense of humor, and incredible ability for problem-solving, he was the ideal customer service representative for College Fund.
Mark works closely with our Operations Manager Roberto and Outside Sales Manager Oscar and is currently undergoing management training himself. His goal is to understand the company from top to tail so that he can benefit all sides of the business.
He said: “CFL is an extraordinary company and we really do strive for 100% satisfaction every time. Period. Matt is just the greatest guy and business-wise he’s one of the smartest guys I’ve ever met. I love the whole operation.”
Despite working for a Texas-based company, Mark previously lived in Oregan with his family for over a decade. He describes his home office set-up as ‘top of the line” and frequently speaks to Matt and the other managers now that he moved down to Texas!
When he’s not busy with his five kids and six grandkids – the youngest of which is only six months old – you can find Mark fishing, exploring in the mountains, practicing martial arts, or forging his knives. His favorite time of year is Christmas because it’s a great excuse to gather the whole family together.
Anyone lucky enough to come across Mark will know that his positivity, knowledge, and ability to connect with others are second to none. We’re proud to have him in the CFL family and are excited to see how he progresses over the next few years.
