Since 1996, Matt has been the proud owner of College Fund Landscaping, building a business rooted in hard work, dedication, and a passion for creating beautiful outdoor spaces. In the spring of 2020, Matt embraced a new adventure—fatherhood—welcoming his first child and adding “proud dad” to his list of titles.
When he’s not leading his team or designing stunning landscapes, you’ll likely find Matt in the great outdoors, where hiking and climbing in the mountains bring him the most joy. And when summer rolls around, there’s no better place to celebrate his favorite holiday, the Fourth of July, than on the lake, enjoying the sun, water, and time with family and friends.
Matt’s love for nature and commitment to excellence shine through in everything he does, making College Fund Landscaping a company built on both expertise and heart.

He joined us in June 2020 with an enthusiasm for the outdoorsand a fast-paced environment, which makes him the perfect addition to our team!
Matthew may not have come from a landscaping background, but he certainly has a handle on operations management. Where the only constant in his department is change, this natural problem-solver is able to roll with the punches. He’s already developing tracking systems to test operations efficiency. Everybody knows we love our numbers here!
He starts his day bright and early, setting up his crew members to tackle the day. He spends most of his time-solving problems for his crews and setting them up for success on job sites. When he has some extra time, he’s diving head first into learning all he can about lawn care and the green industry. He loves being able to meet with clients and help them achieve a flawless landscape.
Matthew was an aviation mechanic for six years in the Navy. After his time in the Navy, he enrolled in the University of North Texas and graduated from UNT with his bachelor’s degree in Aviation Logistics. This summer, he threw a curve ball and applied here at College Fund Landscaping, aren’t we lucky? College Fund stuck out to him because of the strong sense of community in our company.
He adds, “I chose College Fund Landscaping because of the family environment. No one is treated any less because of a title. Everyone here is important.” Matthew is a Texas native, born and raised. His favorite thing about this state is its unpredictable weather. Which makes perfect sense – he likes to keep life exciting! Matthew takes great pride in his work but is even more proud of being a dad. A dedicated father of two, Matthew always prioritizes time with his kids. And when he can take a moment for himself, he is totally killing it in his APA pool league. He says that he is “decent” but we all know he’s being too modest!
Matthew is committed to building a positive reputation here at College Fund Landscaping. He is eager to work behind the scenes, running operations smoothly so that clients get the best service. He urges, “I never want our clients to stop working with us, but if they do, I hope it’s because we helped them achieve the perfect lawn.”

Since joining the College Fund Landscaping team in 2009, Jorge has been a key leader in keeping our crews running smoothly. As Field Supervisor, he not only manages daily operations but also takes the lead in training new hires, ensuring they’re set up for success from day one.
While he works hard year-round, Jorge has a special appreciation for winter—when the temperatures cool off, workdays are shorter, and there’s more time to spend with family. And with the Texas heat being no joke, there’s one thing he never goes without: his daily Gatorade to stay hydrated and keep going strong.
Jorge’s dedication, leadership, and experience make him an invaluable part of our team, helping us deliver top-quality service every day.

Since 2013, Solomon has been a key part of the College Fund Landscaping team, leading the mowing crew with skill and a great sense of humor. Known as the team jokester, he keeps the workday lively while ensuring every lawn looks its best.
A devoted family man, Solomon is a proud husband and father to two grown kids, ages 23 and 24. His favorite holiday is New Year’s, a time when he gets to be surrounded by all of his relatives, celebrating and making memories together.
When it comes to flowers, Solomon’s top pick is red pentas—bold, bright, and full of life, just like him!

Description Since joining the College Fund Landscaping team in 2018, Nicole has been the go-to person for keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes. With a background in computer programming and experience writing and editing coursework for Microsoft, she’s a true tech whiz who brings both precision and passion to her work.
But when she steps away from the desk, Nicole loves embracing the great outdoors—whether it’s hiking through nature or spending quality time with her grandchildren. And as a true Oregon native, she has a soft spot for winter weather. If she’s up north, you’ll find her fully embracing the snow and all the beauty that comes with it!
With her expertise, attention to detail, and love for adventure, Nicole is an essential part of the team, helping keep College Fund Landscaping thriving every day.

Ashleigh is a multifaceted Customer Service Representative (CSR) who loves to solve problems for her clients.
Ashleigh graduated from Texas Tech in 2019 with a degree in Soil and Plant Science. But surprisingly, Ashleigh didn’t always intend on being the soil expert she is now. At first, she sought to study animal science, but when strolling through campus each spring, she became fascinated with the vibrant, red display of tulips (her favorite flower!). This got her inspired with ideas of how rewarding growing your own plants can be, having a flower farm, and even managing an operation.
With big aspirations like this, Ashleigh joined College Fund Landscaping in May of 2022. She’s quickly become our go-to gal for any plant and soil inquiries. Questions about dead turf? Struggling plants? She’s prepared! She loves utilizing her background to provide solutions for customers.
So what’s a day in the life of Ashleigh? She spends the first half of her day assisting fellow CSRs by answering phone calls and responding to emails. The second half of her day is spent working closely with her teammates as she is detail oriented and knows our systems inside and out! She is a living cheat code.
When Ashleigh is off the clock, she prefers to keep things low-key. She enjoys fishing and supporting her boyfriend while he perfects his disc golfing hobby. She loves walking her beloved dogs Bentley and Addie and spending time with her sister-in-law and niece. Ashleigh is an avid traveler and likes to collect tokens along the way. Whenever she passes a flat penny machine, she can’t help but stop and add to her collection, which is now at 75 and counting! She is a huge Disney fan and adds all her favorite pins to her hat. Ashleigh is deeply rooted here in Texas. She was born and raised in Allen, Texas, and is now a new homeowner in Van Alstyne, Texas. All of her family is here so she couldn’t ask for better stomping grounds. I mean living in the same neighborhood as your brother? How lucky! Ashleigh emphasizes, “You can do anything and everything within the state of Texas. You have the mountains, desert, pine trees, and the beach.”

Since 2017, Gabriel has been a hardworking and dedicated member of the College Fund Landscaping team. As a Landscape Crew Lead and Fabricator, he brings skill and precision to every project, ensuring top-notch results for our clients.
Outside of work, Gabriel stays busy with his biggest and most important job—being a dad to six kids, all under the age of 12! Family is everything to him, which is why Thanksgiving is his favorite holiday, a time to slow down, reflect, and enjoy time with loved ones.
After a long day on the job, there’s nothing better for Gabriel than kicking back with an ice-cold Coke to refresh and recharge for another day of hard work.
