You know those ‘Meet the Team’ emails that you eagerly anticipate in your inbox? Well, I hope you like them because they are from me.

Hi! I’m Kelly, and I’m not used to writing about myself. I prefer to write about all of the talented CFL family members, and the amazing stuff they do to make the company a success. But this month Matt has asked me to introduce myself, and as you know, once he has an idea in his head, telling him ‘no’ is not an option. So, let’s see if I can get through this without cringing!

I joined the CFL family at the start of 2020 to head up College Fund Landscaping’s content and media. As a digital marketer and a landscape professional of more than 15 years, my passion is helping green industry companies reach and retain loyal clients.

My introduction to horticulture came when I was a kid as I started helping out at my family’s landscaping company. It was there that I learned not only about plants but also about the ins and outs of running a successful business. Over the next couple of decades, I discovered my passion for helping small businesses grow. In 2017, I launched my own business, Keldo Digital, which provides landscape companies with innovative sales, recruitment, and marketing strategies.

As College Fund Landscaping’s marketing guru, I produce emails and blog posts (like this one!) and manage our social media feeds. As well as helping CFL connect with new clients, I’ve worked with Matt to realize CFL’s image and branding, create systems to automate the business, and keep up on reporting. I’m also the person behind all those emails you receive, so apologies for any inbox floods you might have experienced!

Outside of work I can be found adventuring with my dog Broozer, and making the most of the great outdoors. I recently moved to St. Petersburg, Florida and I’m loving the change of pace (and weather!) from St. Louis. I consider myself a student of life and am always on the lookout for new opportunities to learn and grow. Every night before I go to bed I try to make a list of the things that I’m grateful for.

I love what I do, but to make it even better I love great customers and Matt is one of them. He always shows up to our meetings – mostly on time (haha) – and is a true customer service whiz. Everything CFL does is based on the clients and making sure they have a good experience, which I love. This year we’re slammed with work, which is great confirmation that our marketing work is paying off.

Thanks to all of you for being here, supporting your local small business and all of the fundraisers and community give back they do. If you have any suggestions on how I can keep improving, shoot me an email.
